A world of differences!

This is an entry from a woman who is single and attached.

Even though I have not met her, I can feel she is a lovely woman who is CLEAR about what she wants in life and in relationships (she describes them perfectly as can be seen below!)

I know how she feels, because it seems that she is facing very similar challenges like myself. I have a partner who is challenged financially in all areas of his life too, and until today is still unable to understand why it is crucial to be a "saver" ... and like her, I too feel sometimes that I have to financially "support" him! It upsets me sometimes too, but for almost 10 years until today, I have been able to manage our world of differences, using what I know from my books of course! :-) And this is why we are still able to maintain our relationship together until today.

I need my partner to be "loving"/considerate of me, loyal and able to be trusted.

Sensitivity, fun, relaxed attitude, being tuned in (with each other).

A reliable man with two feet on the ground - someone who cares to find answers when they are not yet found and is prepared to search for them (with me if necessary) - love of what is beautiful in this world.

5) What turns you on?

Turning HIM on....also a certain look from him....where he actually looks at me like he loves me.

6) What turns you off?

When he is into himself and not me.

7) What do you (Secretly) wish your partner would know about you if you have a chance to convey that to your partner?

That I am vulnerable and very, very much a one-man woman.

8) What Do You Find MOST Challenging or Difficult about Your Love, Relationship and Marriage?

That he has not got anywhere near the same amount of money as I have...he has to keep on working for the rest of his life, but I'm retired. He seems to resent that in me and thinks it is one of our greatest challenges too. I feel sometimes that I have to financially "support" him....I really really don't like that...makes me feel that he feels inadequate and that makes me feel worse...TOP problem is the money issue described above - it results in him having to travel interstate a lot, causes arguments. He works so very hard, but can't ever seem to get enough money...he has never been a "saver" and being 59 (4 years older than me) I feel that we are worlds apart financially...

All of us love to hear compliments in life. Nowadays, few people appreciate other people, giving compliments are rare! I want my husband to be honest with me and I want him to go home early.

How can you find out?

When you are in a relationship you must be treated with respect, which means your girlfriend must somehow act like this:

- lets you feel comfortable being yourself

- is able to admit when she is wrong

- is willing to compromise

- respects your opinions, feelings and friends

- tries to resolve conflicts by talking honesty

- accepts when you’re saying no at things you don't want to do

So, take a deep look at your relationship and watch out if your girlfriend is making all this things for you and if not you should try these tips...

1. First of all it is very important to have self respect.

Treat yourself with respect. If she sees that you don't have any respect for yourself she might consider that she doesn't have to show you either, because it is not important to you at all.

2. What you give is what you take.

Show respect if you want to be respectable. Everyone wants to be admired and appreciated. If you show your girlfriend that she is important to you, you'll be easily in their good graces. Be attentive, give compliments, and make her feel comfortable with you and content. Simply admire the person you are with and listen carefully when she talks. So, she'll love to spend time with you.

3. Relax.

Women think men are mediocre because they have a boring personality.

So, when you have a date with her relax and have fun so she will feel great with you, because if she finds you boring you may get dumped. If you make her feel good she will respect you for the funny guy you are, being the person who can make her smile even when she is very sad.

4. Don't lie.

We all now that women don't like to be lied to. If she had caught you with a lie she will definitely not have any more respect for you. But, if she sees that you are sincere to her all the time, she will be proud of you and will show more and more respect for you.

5. Be confident and polite.

Look into her eyes when she talks to you and make her feel that you are a person who can trust in. Show her that she can talk with you about any subject or problem she has and can count on your help.

Don't forget to be polite, this will bring a reciprocal respect.

Don't let your feelings of guilt tear down your relationship!

When the mind allows guilt to take over, it will tear down relationships, especially if the partner fails to come to terms and agreement with self.

To determine if your mind is full of guilt you must ask your self-questions. What did you do so wrong that would offend your partner that cannot be forgiving?

Guilt can break the mind down to the point of no return.

Guilt is more than a mistake made; rather it is a violation against rights, humanity, belief, tradition, standards, and love. When a person fails in a relationship, they may feel a measure of guilt. Thus, confronting the problem now can remove the guilt and make the relationship work.

When people confront their problems, it often leads to workable agreements. When procrastination, or else lying to cover the wrong continues the mind consumes itself with emotions based on guilt.

Guilt occurs when conscious actions or thoughts interfere with someone else’s rights, or else against the own person’s beliefs. Mistakes leading to guilt depend on the situation, but for the most part wrongs can lead to right if humanity exists.

If a person commits adultery, thus the problem is solvable if the person acted out of emotion, rather than thought and commits to restoring trust. Of course, actions, effort, behaviors and habits must show the mate that the mistake will never occur again.

It depends on the mate but some will forgive, while others may take the insult of the partner letting them know their worth in the relationship to heart and may decide separation or divorce is the way out.

Adultery is stating to the mate that you have no worth. If the mate decides to forgive, thus you must do your part and allow the guilt to turn into effort to restore trust. You will need consideration, loyalty, compassion, honesty, and may even need to tell your every move for a while during the course of restore.

A person with true remorse will work hard, regardless of what they need to do to restore trust.

If a person violates the right of the partner, thus, it depends on the magnitude of violation, but in most instances, it is workable. People act out of emotions and impulses at times, and will often act out of lust occasionally. When the emotions, impulses and desires take control (depending on the length of time control is enforced), the person may do things he or she ordinarily would not do.

Thus, adultery is a justifiable reason to divorce or separate from the spouse, but looking at the entirety of the circumstance can help a person decide. Was the spouse enticed by another individual to commit the act, while the spouse was feeling vulnerable?

Still, vulnerability is no excuse on the spouse’s part, but if enticement is the case, then two people wronged you. Was the other person in the act deceived? Did your mate lead the person to believe that he or she was not in a commitment?

Examining the entirety of the act can help the mate determine the direction the relationship is heading, and help the other partner decide what they need to do to make things right again.

Divorce is an attack on the emotions, since a trigger hits the heart and emotions and creates pain, sorrow, hurt, sadness, et cetera. Divorce is showing a disregard for the marriage arrangement unless true reasons for divorce are evident.

Thus, divorce should only be considered if the mate commits adultery, abuses the partner, or fails to commit in the relationship arrangement, or if death occurs.

If you are in a relationship and your mate committed an insulting act against you, such as adultery. Thus, considering the entirety will help you make a wise decision.

If another person enticed your mate on vulnerable grounds, thus consider your partner by asking what were, you thinking at the time. If your mate responds by saying I wasn’t thinking, thus you can ask, what makes me think it won’t happen again?

If your mate is sincerely sorry, he/she will let you know by words, action, emotions, thoughts, and tone spoken.

Ever wonder what to buy for your girlfriends, or even boyfriends??

Here's an inspiring story about Kelly that my friend just sent me! Something that is worth more than money... it is the GREATEST birthday present.

Get your creative juices flowing, you might come up with some cool ideas after reading this story, and you no longer have to wonder what to buy for your soulmate!

Kelly was a very wealthy Hollywood actress, who was used to a posh lifestyle. She lived in a multimillion dollar home in Beverly Hills. She had all sorts of people she paid to do things for her, such as her personal chef, her aerobics trainer, her gardener, her maid and her masseuse. She spared no expense to take care of her wants and needs.

Kelly was a great actress and had been nominated several times for Golden Globes and Academy Awards. She seemed to have everything she wanted.

In spite of losing her mother at a very young age, she had a very loving father and sister. Her Dad ensured that both of his girls got a great education. He also was very supportive of their career moves. Kelly had always wanted to be an actress. Her sister, Sarah, had always wanted to be a scientist.

Sarah drove from where she worked, at Jet Propulsion Laboratory, to her sister’s home.

It was Kelly’s birthday and she invited dozens of celebrities, ranging from actors to musicians. Each guest took turns giving Kelly her extravagant gifts, such as gold-plated picture frames, modern expensive artwork and items from Hong Kong.

It was time for Sarah, her sister, to give Kelly her birthday present. She handed Kelly a brand new photo album. Kelly said jokingly, “A photo album, Sarah? Do you know how many photo albums I have? I do not have enough pictures to fill all my photo albums.”

Sarah knew her sister’s sarcastic humor and took the comment in stride. She finally said, “Open the album, sister.” “But-“ “OPEN the album, Kelly,” Sarah said with conviction.

Kelly opened the photo album. There were many photos of an attractive woman and a handsome man in their mid-thirties next to two girls. Both girls appeared to be less than ten years old.

Kelly’s mouth slowly started to open rather widely as if she had been transformed on the spot. She began to weep as tears of love ran down her face.

She stared at the first page of pictures for several minutes. She finally said softly, “It’s Mom.” She couldn’t say anything more for another few minutes as she turned the page.

The room was silent.

The next page contained pictures of her mother, father, Sarah and her at the Grand Canyon. “Our last trip together,” Kelly said even more softly. She couldn’t hold back the running tears, which were now like Niagara Falls.

The people in the room started to cry as well. Most of them knew that Kelly lost her mother at a very young age.

“Where did you get these?” Kelly asked Sarah. “These are absolutely priceless.” “Dad found them in the attic. I had the same reaction as you.

I had a photoshop restore many of the pictures and make several copies. I had to make an album for you and me. It’s the least I could do for Mom,” exclaimed Sarah. “Do you remember the hike along the Colorado River?” Kelly asked Sarah. “She was so mad when we jumped in the river.” Both sisters hugged each other. Sarah was now crying as much as Kelly. Both sisters’ tears were tears of embrace and loyalty. They both adored one another.

After about an hour of reminiscing with each other and the guests who surrounded them, Kelly said, “Sarah, this is the greatest birthday present anyone could ever give me. Thank you.”

How to make your girlfriend respect you?

An interesting entry sent in from a woman reader who is still single. She makes a good point when pointing out what she needs in the relationship, and I believe that both men and women need THIS in their relationship - repsect.

Respect is one of the basic human values. As it applies to people, is defined as an attitude of admiration or esteem for a person.

This feeling is generally a result of a person's achievements. While all people deserve respect, not many of they receive this.

Everyone wants to be respected by others but not all of them get it. It’s important to first define who a respectable person is before giving respect to him.

First of all you have to keep in mind that in order to demand respect, you will have to treat others with equal amount of respect.

‘Respect’ is just a word, but what it means and what it distinguishes for us can make all the difference in how we observe ourselves and others — as well as how we relate to future possibilities and choices.

Many successful relationships have been built around different political or religious believes, but it all boils down to respect. They are based on the belief that both partners are equal, that the power and control in the relationship are equally share. In a relationship, respect means to listening each other, valuing each other's opinions, and also understanding the other's emotions.

What you give is what you take. Show respect if you want to be respectable. Everyone wants to be admired and appreciated. If you show your girlfriend that she is important to you, you'll be easily in their good graces. Be attentive, give compliments, and make her feel comfortable with you and content.

Assurance and connection on a higher level, though it can just be playing or fooling around

Comfortable connection, someone I can share some ideas with, argue about politics - someone with a sound intellect. Someone I can have a healthy debate with without taking things personally

Silly jokes or anything my partner does just to make me laugh

Sulking is a major turnoff

Someone who tells me with words and actions that they love me often, a man that pays attention to what I have to say and responds not with a "fix" but with understanding or just a willingness to listen, I need to feel taken care of, I need a man that is confident in himself, I need and want to make love often and to be touched and talked to lovingly throughout the day, I want to be able to take care of him and want him and I to share our thoughts and desires, I want to have a completely open relationship where we both can say or do anything and know that the other will not run away but will stay to work out the difficult things and celebrate the wonderful things that happen

2) What do you want and need in Romance and Dating? What EXACTLY do you want from your partner?

flowers are nice and surprises of any kind are fun, I also love when a man texts or emails or calls "just because" to say I am thinking of you, I want a man that is confident and will do some of the planning for our dates and times together...there is nothing worse than a man that always says "whatever you want dear", I want a man that is comfortable with himself and will share himself with me.

3) What do you want and need in Sex?

Lots of foreplay both verbal and touching, I need to be held and touched often, I like to mix things up and not get into a routine or rut, I love to try new things, I need a man who is confident in bed and will take charge without being too rough or bossy, I also need a man who will let me relax and take my time coming to orgasm...the journey is just as wonderful as the orgasm itself, I also want and need a man who will be in tune to my body and not follow a set of rules for all women

Are you getting into a relationship just for the sake of not being alone??

Some people get into a relationship for the sake of not being alone. This can be a mistake. Getting into a relationship with someone just for the sake of not being alone is not very smart.

Here are some ways on how to deal with this fear of loneliness.

Getting into a relationship with someone for the sake of not being by yourself can cause problems down the road. What happens if you pick the wrong person? Let’s say you choose someone and you get married. After five or six months, you start to realize that you made a mistake in selecting this person. What do you do now?

Its not fun being alone but being with someone that you can barely tolerate is not the answer. Once you get married and have kids, it can be very difficult to get out of the relationship if things turn south. Make the smart decisions now and don’t let loneliness become a issue in your relationships.

Develop a network of friends. A person who has friends will not be as alone as for someone who is constantly by themselves. Again, join a group where you can develop long lasting friendships.

Finally, if being alone bothers you that much then its best to see a professional. He or she can give you insights on how to better manage your fear of being alone.

There is nothing wrong with being alone. In fact the average person spends some time alone during their lifetime! :)

Why are some couples more truthful with each other while others like to deceive the partner?

Nobody deserves to be lied, but there are no doubts that women are telling lies considerably and often. But so men do the same.

If you have trust issues in your relationship, in general, a woman may lie to you. Trust is something that you must build from the beginning of the relationship. Even though, a lot of people say ‘‘white lies'' in order to make others feel better.

Some women lie because, as caring creatures they want to spare the feelings of the man they are dating or seeing.

So, here are some common lies told by women that you should know. Someday you might hear them from your partner and it is better to know their real meaning.

1. You're perfect.

I love you just the way you are and I wouldn't change a thing about you. Let's be serious; nobody is perfect. At the beginning of a relationship all of them say this because they didn't know you very well but after some time will definitely find something that needs changed. So, if she tells you something like this, don't be too enthusiastic because she finds you perfect just for a couple of days, and after that she will ask you to change.

2. You're right.

Every time you are arguing with you're girlfriend usually ends up by telling you that you are right? Maybe this makes you feel proud of you, but you have to know that this is a big lie. She said this just to make you shut up, even if she didn't consider that you're right. She knows that after a while you will see that she was right, and may be waiting for apologize.

3. Nothing is wrong.

The most common lie '' I'm fine'' when asked if there is something wrong is the most used by women. You see that she is upset, she is acting strange or doesn't want to talk to you too much and ask her what is the problem she says that everything is fine. They don't want to tell the real truth but they are expecting that men to figure out that something is wrong and those they had a mistake with something.

4. I do love sports honey.

Maybe she agrees to stay and watch with you every week at a football game but this doesn't really mean that she like it. She accepts to do this just to show you that she is different from other girls and you have common interest. You may be thinking that you have found the perfect girl for you, because not many of them would like to stay to watch football, but don't be too happy because after a while she might had enough and get angry every time you sit down to watch a game.

5. I like spending time with your friends.

At the beginning this is ok, but not too much. Even if they are good friends of you, she would like to spend more time alone with you and not with your friends. If she didn't tell you already this, she will ask you to keep visits from your buddies at minimum and then she might keep pretending she loves them.

6. Your family is adorable, so I like spending time with your family.

The truth? Maybe twice a month. Think about it. Do you really think that she likes to spend time with your family where everybody is criticizing her and watch her every move? She agrees to spend time with your family when is necessary but she doesn't do it with much pleasure even if she is pretending in front of you that she likes them.

7. Your bank account doesn't matter.

I hope you didn't believe this. We all know that this is definitely a lie. All women want a guy that is financial stable and independent, a guy that can assure her a future with no financial problems. This doesn't mean that you have to be very rich to have a girlfriend, but you have to have some money.

8. It doesn't bother to me if you look after women or go with your boys at strip-clubs.

This is too good to be truth. Even she says that this is ok, she will definitely be upset that you want to go. They hate to feel second best to a night out with the guys, and accept this in order to make themselves seem less pathetically needy. If you choose to go, she will make you a lot of comments after, so you better think twice before you go.

9. You are very good in bed.

If she choose to speak about this topic without you ask her, you don't have to believe all she says. If she starts to compliment you about your sexual experience it doesn't mean that she really believes that. Often a woman who cares about a man tell him all that she knows he wants to hear just to make him feel good about himself. So think about your girlfriend, your relationship, your sexual experience and see if you really deserve compliments on this topic.

10. Don't worry, it happens to everyone.

If you just make a mistake, or fail in bed, you might hear this lie from your girlfriend. She doesn't want to show you how upset she is on you but in her mind thinks something else. I wouldn't be too sure that your mistake is forgiven and I would worry in not making too many '' accidents'' like these.

1. This is probably the most classic subtle signal of all: her life become too hectic. She hasn't picked up the phone for a few days and when she does, she is busy and pretending that she doesn't have time to met you. This isn't necessarily a sign that it is over, but if you are used to meet her frequently then there is something wrong.

2. Eventually, when she decided to spend some time with you she keeps looking around to find
something to do or someone else to talk to. However, when a woman is interested, she puts in
the effort by giving you her full attention.

3. She's secretive and no longer wants to tell you where she has been or who was on the phone.

4. Don't forget that women love to talk. If she doesn't ask you questions and shows no interest
in what you have to say and when you ask her questions she limits her answers to "yes" and "no" she has a problem. Can it be the relationship with you?

5. Is she causing arguments over stupid little things? If nothing you do or say isn't right

I’m not going to lie—when my boyfriend is a little jealous of the attention I’m getting from other guys, it makes me feel appreciated.

However, most people don’t know where to draw the line between innocent flirting and going to far.

Respect your significant other; if he or she shows the following signs, you may be flirting too much:

Jordan married Barbara after they had only been together for a little over eighteen months. Shortly after the honeymoon ended, Barbara began fighting with Jordan all the time.

She would find any little reason to yell at him and would storm off in anger to go back to her mother’s house. Jordan didn’t know what was going on. He wasn’t doing anything wrong that he knew of, and yet Barbara was constantly threatening to leave him.

Cheating Wife: What To Do If Your Wife is Cheating

Some believe that it is men who cheat more than woman.

Most polls and studies, however, show that either the two cheat the same amount, or that women cheat more than men. It’s not surprising, really. Women are very emotional creatures, and if their emotions are not catered to, they will go somewhere else.

This does not mean that it is your fault if your wife is cheating on you. The fact is, cheating should never happen. If a relationship is deteriorating that badly, the wife should be able to go to you, or vice versa, so you can discuss the situation.

Sometimes it’s too late to fix the situation because your wife has already cheated. If this is the case, here are some rules you may want to follow when you’re trying to handle a cheating wife.

Rule #1: Don’t Always Believe What She Says

If you have proof of cheating, confront her with it. Explain to her that you know that she has cheated on you and tell her how it makes you feel. Depending on the type of woman she is, she may jump into the discussion with a lot of excuses.

Here are some classic ones:
“What was I supposed to do? You weren’t emotionally there for me.”
“I was just so lonely. You’re never home.”
“It was a one time thing. A total fluke. It will never happen again.”
“I cheated on you because I know that you cheated on me. I was getting even.”

Women tend to jump to the defense very quickly, which means that sometimes they don’t know what’s coming out of their mouth. She may say one thing during the discussion only to forget that she’d even said it. Do not automatically believe what she is saying.

Rule #2: Don’t Play ‘Pin The Blame’

Rule #3: Watch Out For Friends

Some women will enlist the help of their friends. They will convince their friends to call you to say that your wife was not cheating, or that she only did so once.

Some will even say that it was them that was involved with the other person, and that your wife was only trying to help the relationship along. Unless the friends have proof, ignore them. They are just being faithful to your wife, which is a good thing.

After all, you should want your wife’s closest friends to be faithful, even if their faith is a bit misplaced. But what goes on in your relationship is between you and your wife and no one else.

Rule #4: Therapy

If this is indeed the first time that your wife has cheated, and you want to salvage the relationship, you may want to suggest couple’s therapy.

Couple’s therapy will give you the chance to talk to one another with a therapist present so that you can get down to the core of the problem and to what caused her to stray in the first place.

You will both be able to discover if you can forgive or not, and if the relationship will have a chance or if you should cut your losses.

If you suggest therapy and your wife will not agree to it, cut your losses and run. Any wife that wants to get her marriage to work will agree to at least trying therapy.

A wife who vehemently rejects going into therapy with you will probably not want to work to keep your relationship alive, so instead of going through months of pain and suffering, cut your losses as quickly as you can.

Wives may cheat for different reasons than most men cheat, but the fact is that they still cheated. Make sure you talk to your friends and get your own head clear, or you’ll never be able to deal with her in a positive manner.

1) Listening and not talking

Listening is the solution. You need to be able to talk to people and hear what is going on. It is important to make sure that two people sit down and talk about things that are going on in their life. Make sure that you are doing all that you can to keep the lines of communication open. Having good communication is going to be a good source to rely on for any problem that will come up.

When a woman wants to talk things out this generally means that she wants to do all the chatting. She will probably take control of the situation and the best thing that you can do is listen. You should sit there and pay close attention to all that she is saying, taking in every word so that you are hearing it as she wants you to.

You may not have the opportunity to speak but if you are asked a question or she wants you to join in on the discussion, chances are you better do it. If you do not talk to her and keep the conversation going, you will probably find that she gets irritated and this will only add to the problem.

2) Do not feel like it
